How Flat-Pack Design Cuts Your Shipping Cost
Freight is one of the biggest cost lines in the shed business — and flat-pack design is the single most effective way to control it.
Flat-packed sheds arrive as pre-drilled panels and components in compact export cartons, rather than pre-assembled units. That means more units per container, lower cost per unit and simpler handling at both ports.
For a typical container, flat-pack loading can fit 2–3 times more units than partially assembled alternatives. Over a full year of orders, that saving is a real margin contribution.
Flat packing also reduces damage in transit — components are smaller, better protected and easier to replace if a carton is damaged. Returns due to freight damage drop noticeably.
Every shed we produce — steel, resin and WPC — ships flat-packed, with container loading plans provided per order. Tell us your size mix and we will show you the loading plan before you commit.
